W. W. Scott, 1891. Editor of the Iron Valley Reporter. W. W. Scott, shown at the right in the photo, was a very colorful character from Dover's past; opinionated and outspoken, he had a personality ideally suited for his role as the Editor of a small town newspaper. Mr. Scott has a wide range of interests and was noted for his collection of interesting and curious artifacts. Always a colorful character, he truly was one of those rare people who seem just a little larger than life. Mr. Scott's residence was located immediately north of this marker, adjacent this quadrant of the square. The print shop was attached to it and bordered the alley and Wooster Avenue, known at that time as Market Street.
