Inscription. Whose vision, courage, and deep appreciation of building well for tomorrow brought about the creation of Shaker Heights in 1911 and the development of Shaker Square in 1929.

Erected October 6, 1961, by the Shaker Square Association upon the occasion of the 50th anniversary of Shaker Heights.
