This site was originally constructed in 1860 as the Suisun Valley General Mercantile & original Pony Express station.

The Vezer Family provides this facility for the enjoyment of the families of this wonderful valley and gives special recognition to its pioneers.

2. Vezér Family Vineyard - West Buildings
When asked which, if any, of the buildings on the premises was the General Merchandise or perhaps the Pony Express Station, the gentlemen doing the pourings indicated that he thought the building in the right of the picture above (i.e. just west of the tasting room) was. However, another employee said that she thought that it was perhaps the building to the east of the tasting room (not pictured). Both were in agreement that enough changes and renovations to all the buildings concerned had occurred in the interim such that the historical character of any of them was hard to discern.
