1. Lindley Field Marker
Inscription. First air mail flight through N.C. landed here May 1, 1928. Charles Lindbergh, on Oct. 14, 1927, landed nearby to open field.
 
Erected 1979 by North Carolina Office of Archives and History. (Marker Number J-77.)
 
Location. 36° 6.416′ N, 79° 57.38′ W. Marker is near Greensboro, North Carolina, in Guilford County. Marker is at the intersection of Joseph M Bryan Boulevard and Burgess Road, on the right when traveling east on Joseph M Bryan Boulevard. Touch for map.
