1. Sir Archie Marker
Inscription. Foundation sire of American Thoroughbred race horses, including Timoleon, Boston, Lexington, & Man O'War. Died at Mowfield, one mile north, in 1833.
 
Erected 1974 by North Carolina Division of Archives and History. (Marker Number E-83.)
