1. Glencoe - Lodge Hall and Barber Shop Marker
Inscription. The Lodge Hall, a small frame building, housed many types of gatherings. The Barber Shop, built in the 20th century, served village men and boys. In one period, old-timers recall, a barber would arrive and open the shop to cut hair one evening each week.
 
Location. 36° 8.391′ N, 79° 25.648′ W. Marker is near Burlington, North Carolina, in Alamance County. Marker is on Glencoe Street, on the right when traveling north. Touch for map. Glencoe Village is 3 miles north of Burlington, NC from NC Highway 62. Marker is in this post office area: Burlington NC 27215, United States of America.
