Inscription. Built 1907 of brick and white stone trim for David and Ellen Stoddard Eccles. Architects: Monson & Schaub of Logan. Renovation 1972 by S. Eugene Needham and Christie Smith Needham.

David Eccles was an early Utah businessman and industrialist. He founded many businesses throughout the western United States and became Utah's first multimillionaire. One of his sons Marriner Stoddard Eccles became chairman of The Federal Reserve.
