The date coincides with the original Veterans Recognition Day in the United States. The memorial is to include a time capsule to be opened Nov. 11, 2076. Among the items in the capsule will be copies of the Fond du Lac Reporter's Bicentennial Edition, published June 30, and the memento publication of President Ford's visit last April. The memorial also will include a 35-foot flagpole, decorative planter area of native Fond du Lac stone and an inscription..."
