1. Tortorici’s Marker
Inscription. Three generations of Tortorici’s have owned The Nationally Famous Tortorici Restaurant. Louis Tortorici left his native Italy for New Orleans and founded the Contessa Entellina Society, and on September 8, 1886 he became its first president. His son Anthony opened Tortorici’s Restaurant in 1900 with his Father. His sons Anthony & Joseph became the proprietors in 1946.
