1. Old Colfax County Courthouse Marker
Inscription. Built in 1879 at a cost of $9,800, this building served as the Colfax County Courthouse from 1882 through 1897, when the county seat was moved to Raton. This building housed the New Mexico reform school for boys from 1910 to 1917 and has been a public library, town hall and city jail.
 
Erected by New Mexico Historic Preservation Division.
 
Location. 36° 21.834′ N, 104° 35.733′ W. Marker is in Springer, New Mexico, in Colfax County. Marker is on Maxwell Avenue 0.2 miles north of 4th Street, on the right when traveling north. Touch for map. Marker is in this post office area: Springer NM 87747, United States of America.
