1. Cool Spring Marker
Inscription. Was known as Cool Spring in 1826. Hillie Holmes' Store was the last surviving relic as Cool Spring post office was moved into what became the town of Creswell in 1874.
 
Erected 1999 by Washington Co. Bicentennial Commission.
 
Location. 35° 51.943′ N, 76° 23.712′ W. Marker is in Creswell, North Carolina, in Washington County. Marker is on Cherry Road 0.2 miles west of Middle Street, on the left when traveling west. Touch for map. Marker is in this post office area: Creswell NC 27928, United States of America.
