Inscription. Original deed 14, December 1808 Jacob Hassell to James Ambrose and Andrew Oliver, commissioners. Constituted 1810.
 
Erected 1999 by Washington Co. Bicentennial Commission.
 
Location. 35° 51.49′ N, 76° 24.93′ W. Marker is in Creswell, North Carolina, in Washington County.
