1. Old Madison Marker
Inscription. The first county seat of Bledsoe Co., was here. Buildings included a log jail on the hillock to the southeast. Members of its first court were Jno. Tollet, Jno. Narramore, Jesse McKinney, Michael Rawlings, Jos. Hoge, Jas. Standiver, Timothy Hixon, Wm. Christian & Jno. Durgin. It later moved to Pikeville, which grew up around a large spring.

Location. 35° 26.443′ N, 85° 20.783′ W. Marker is near Dunlap, Tennessee, in Sequatchie County. Marker is at the intersection of Rankin Highway (U.S. 127) and Madison Drive, on the right when traveling north on Rankin Highway. Touch for map.
