1. Riga Academy Marker
Inscription. A flourishing school for boarding and day pupils was organized here in 1846. The building was earlier known as Thomson's Tavern.
 
Erected 1935 by State Education Department.
 
Location. 43° 4.157′ N, 77° 52.778′ W. Marker is in Riga, New York, in Monroe County. Marker is at the intersection of Chili-Riga Center Road (New York State Route 33A) and Riga-Mumford Road (New York State Route 36) on Chili-Riga Center Road. Touch for map.
