1. Union Hospital Marker

Inscription. In 1892, near this site, Union Hospital was founded by Leo J. Weinstein, M.D., and Benjamin F. Swafford, M.D., with the support of local citizens. This hospital established Terre Haute's first School of Nursing in 1900.

Erected 1992 by Indiana Historical Bureau and Union Hospital. (Marker Number 84.1992.2.)
