1. Marshall Memorial Boulevard (Charleston Ave) Marker
Inscription. On November 14, 1970, a chartered jet crashed on approach to Tri-State Airport near Huntington, claiming the lives of seventy-five members of the Marshall University football team, coaches, fans, pilots & crew. This boulevard, named in honor of those fallen members of the university family, leads visitors from the Spring Hill Cemetery to the heart of the Marshall community.
 
Erected 2000 by West Virginia Division of Archives and History.
