1. Pettit Street and Chestnut Street Marker
Inscription. The Baptist Church standing here today was erected in 1920 after a fire consumed the old frame church on July 3, 1917. The frame church with its twin towers was erected around 1880 and had replaced the original stone church built in 1843.
