1. Auxiliary Power System Marker
Inscription.
This series of belts and jackshafts were installed in the late 19th century. They were powered by the gristmillís turbine, Their purpose was to turn grindstones for sharpening tools and to power the corn sheller housed in the adjacent corncrib.

 
Location. 39° 38.568′ N, 74° 38.943′ W. Marker is in Hammonton, New Jersey, in Atlantic County. Marker can be reached from Batsto Road, on the right when traveling north. Touch for map. Marker is located in Historic Batsto Village, near the gristmill. Marker is in this post office area: Hammonton NJ 08037, United States of America.
