Erected by Citizens of the Village and Town of Potsdam.
 
Location. 44° 40.162′ N, 74° 58.931′ W. Marker is in Potsdam, New York, in Saint Lawrence County. Marker is at the intersection of Park Street and Elm Street (U.S. 11), on the right when traveling north on Park Street. Touch for map. On October 15, 2016 this monument will be moved to Ives Park. When these pictures were taken, the monument was about five or six car-lengths south of the intersection at the front lawn of the downtown Snell Hall (not Snell Music Theater on the SUNY campus). Park Street connects NY 56 northbound through downtown. Marker is in this post office area: Potsdam NY 13676, United States of America.
