1. Bethel Church Marker
Inscription. The United Brethren in Christ started preaching in this village in 1858. The first church, named Bethel, was organized and built in 1874. Through denominational mergers, it has served as: United Brethren in Christ, Evangelical United Brethren and United Methodist. In 1972, the Holsopple and Livingston Congregations united to be renamed Bethel.
 
Location. 40° 12.55′ N, 78° 55.703′ W. Marker is in Hollsopple, Pennsylvania, in Somerset County.
