Inscription. Dedicated to the men and women of this community who served our country in time of war.
 
Erected 1955 by Veterans of Foreign Wars, Down River Post 7487 and Auxiliary.
 
Location. 43° 10.314′ N, 79° 2.03′ W. Marker is in Lewiston, New York, in Niagara County. Marker is on Portage Road 0.1 miles south of Center Street (New York State Route 18F), on the left when traveling south. Touch for map. Memorial is in Academy Park.
