1. Coffman House Marker
Inscription. The 1783 land grant to DAVID COFFMAN adjoined Indian territory. ANDREW COFFMAN, pioneer baptist preacher, was born in the original log cabin in 1784. That cabin, with additions, was later covered with clapboards.
 
Erected by Hamblen County Historical Society.
 
Location. 36° 15.665′ N, 83° 10.441′ W. Marker is near Morristown, Tennessee, in Hamblen County. Marker is at the intersection of U.S. 11E and Stagecoach Road, on the right when traveling east on U.S. 11E. Touch for map.
