1. Transylvania Company Marker
Inscription. The company founded Henderson in 1797. John James Audubon made his home here. The town established the first municipal park west of the Alleghenies.
 
Erected 2007 by the Kentucky Historical Society Kentucky Department of Highways. (Marker Number 66.)
