1. Samuel Meredith Marker
Inscription. This memorial is a tribute to the financier-patriot of the Revolution who was first Treasurer of the U.S., 1789-1801. George Clymer and Meredith were large landholders in this area. Meredith died at his estate, Belmont, in 1817.
 
Erected 1948 by Pennsylvania Historical & Museum Commission.
 
Location. 41° 44.4′ N, 75° 26.06′ W. Marker is in Pleasant Mount, Pennsylvania, in Wayne County. Marker is at the intersection of Great Bend Turnpk. (PA 371) and Bethany Turnpike (PA 670) on Great Bend Turnpk. (PA 371). Touch for map. The memorial is located behind the trees in Meredith Memorial Park.
