Location. 13° 30.457′ N, 88° 29.266′ W. Marker is in Alegría, Usulután. Marker is on Calle Principal, on the left when traveling west. Touch for map. The marker and other associated markers are attached to the Masferrer House about two blocks east of the central park in Alegría.

1868 - 1968
philosopher, poet and writer. His life work focused on social issues and the rights of the less fortunate. With the assassination of President Araujo and the coming to power of General Hernandez Martinez, he was increasingly isolated politically. With the 1932 peasant uprising and subsequent massacres, he went into exile in Honduras.
