1. Eversole Building Marker
Inscription.
In 1905 J.W. Eversole moved his highly successful furniture and undertaking business in to this new building. The structure was very modern with large plate glass windows, full plumbing and the first concrete foundation in Ukiah. The 2nd floor house the Ukiah Business College and later became the first public library. The Eversoles sold the building in 1925 and built a new mortuary. July 2003 marked the Eversole's 110th anniversary making them the oldest family business in Ukiah and the oldest family run mortuary in California.
