1. Redoubt Marker
Inscription. Here stood one of the strongest units of the American river fortifications. It was strengthened by the water batteries along the river.
 
Erected by Saratoga National Historical Park, National Park Service.
 
Location. 42° 58.804′ N, 73° 37.713′ W. Marker is in Stillwater, New York, in Saratoga County. Marker is on Park Tour Road, on the right when traveling south. Touch for map. Marker is in Saratoga National Historical Park along a walking trail at the American River Fortifications stop. Marker is in this post office area: Stillwater NY 12170, United States of America.

3. Marker at Saratoga's American River Fortifications
These key fortifications were instrumental in blocking the Road to Albany from Burgoyne's Army in 1777. Their presence forced Burgoyne to attack the American Main Line on Bemis Heights.
