1. Aloysius H. "Al" Simmons Marker
Inscription. A great major league outfielder from 1924 through 1944. Compiled a .334 batting average in 2215 games. With the Athletics he won the League's Most Valuable Player Award in 1929 and the Batting Championships of 1930 and 1931. Born, May 22, 1903, at Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
 
Erected 1951 by Presented to the Hall of Fame by H.S. Falk, R.E. Friend, Frank and Ralph Wabiszewski.
