First services Sunday April 23, 1854 by RT.Rev.William I. Kip, Bishop of Calif. Parish incorporated April 27, 1855 & this building opened for worship Aug. 1858. One of the last two remaining church edifices of Gold Rush Days of the 1850's and oldest Episcopal Edifice in California.
