1. Wavertree Marker

Inscription. Wavertree is the last remaining iron-hulled three-masted cargo ship in the world. When she was built in 1885, steamships were already at work, but, in an era when fuel was expensive and labor was cheap, for some cargoes sail was more economical than steam.
