Shrewsbury Mass.
Nov. 19, 1752,
Died in
Bangor Me.
May 21, 1844.

He served in the War of the Revolution as
Lieutenant in the 5th Regiment of Massachusetts;
and in grateful memory of that service the
Massachusetts Society of the Cincinnati
has caused this stone to be erected.
A. D. 1888.
