Excellent exemple de la maison de campagne dans la tradition classique britannique, cet édifice aux proportions harmonieuses, construit en Pierre Calcaire, est l'une des plus anciennes résidences de la région d'Ottawa et rappelle les elégantes propriétés qui jalonnaient autrefois le chemin Richmond. Construite par William Thomson, agriculteur et exploitant forestier prospère, cette résidence a été habitée par la suite par les familles Cole et Rochester. Les principaux espaces intérieurs ainsi que le rare jardin enclos de murs sont également désignés.
