The marker is inscribed directly into the stone facing.
Inscription.  

Este conjunto de edificios iniciados en 1651, continuados en etapas sucesivas en 1684, 1695, 1701, semidestruidos por un terremoto en 1768, permutados sin terminar, a las autoridades en 1771 fueron destinados posteriormente a viviendas. El templo nuevo iniciado en 1752 por el Arq. Ildefonso Iniestra Bejarano de el cual únicamente fue terminada la sacristía

Adquirido para teatro de opereta y zarzuela en 1875

Rescatado por el Gobierno Federal en 1959 y ordenada su reconstrucción y acondicionamiento en 1969 por la Secretaria de Hacienda y Credito Publico con la asesoría de la Direccion de Monumentos Coloniales para oficinas de la Comision Nacional Bancaria y la Biblioteca Miguel Lerdo de Tejada

English translation:
This set of buildings was begun in 1651 and continued in successive stages in 1684, 1695 and 1701. It was mostly destroyed by an earthquake in 1768 and remained unfinished, until the authorities in 1771 allocated it to housing. Construction on the new temple was started in 1752 by the architect Ildefonso Iniestra Bejarano, of which only the sacristy was completed.

It was acquired for use as a theater of operetta and zarzuela in 1875.

Rescued by the Federal Government in 1959 and its reconstruction and refurbishment was ordered in 1969 by the Ministry of Finance and Public Credit with the assistance of the Office of Colonial Monuments for offices of the National Banking Commission and the Miguel Lerdo de Tejada Library
