Formó parte del sistema de distribución de agua limpia con el que contó la ciudad a partir del siglo XVIII; fue inaugurada el año de 1908 en el Barrio de la Otra Banda, a cuyos vecinos benefició hasta la segunda década del siglo XX en que fue enajenada. La Administración Municipal la recuperó devolviéndola a la ciudad el 3 de julio de 2014 para disfrute de la población.

The Chameleon Fountain
This fountain was part of the potable water distribution system for the city dating from the 18th century. It was formally inaugurated in 1908 in the “Other Side” Neighborhood and served the citizenry until the second decade of the 20th century, when it was taken over as private property. On July 3, 2014 the Municipal Administration recovered it and has returned it to the city for the enjoyment of the entire population.
