Inscription. In an ever-changing world, it's always interesting to see how trends in transportation come full circle. In this picture from 1923, you can see an example of three different types of streetcars. The #1157 streetcar is preparing to make its loop back onto Delmar Boulevard while private automobiles and a horse-drawn carriage bring up the rear.

The Loop Trolley brings a new focus to transit. Why drive when you can ride? With ten stops along the 2.2 mile route, you're never far from your destination.

Erected by The Loop Trolley Company.
