1. Stacy Building Marker
Inscription. Local architect F. R. Richmond designed this building for Edwin Stacy, a manufacturer of machinery and mill supplies. His son Frank took over the business in 1911 and served as Mayor from 1914 to 1918. The upper floors of the building were leased out to small manufacturing concerns. One noted early occupant was Frank Duryea who built and tested his first two-cylinder, three-speed motor car on the top floor in 1894. The following year, Duryea modified the car, entered the America's first automobile race, and won.

This property is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
