More about this marker. Does this sign qualify for inclusion in this database of permanent outdoor historical markers? Strictly speaking, it doesn’t. It is not a permanent marker. It is a paperboard sign posted behind a locked glass frame. The building owner or tenant could replace it with an advertisement or restaurant menu any time her or she wishes to do so. But it has been here for a number of years and survived the restaurant named on its face, which has been replaced by Shu Chen’s Chinese Restaurant.
