Additional commentary.
1. Restoration
My father, William P. Reid, lived near Eagle's Nest monument on old route 40 while he was a child. He urged me to get the monument restored as it had fallen into disrepair. In the summer of 1990 I was able to work with Russ Edgington of the newly formed Licking Park District to have this project done. John Markham did the masonry repair; however, ownership of the monument was called into question by the farmer owning the adjacent land. We were able to have a re-dedication ceremony but further plans to establish a little park at the site failed. Note To Editor only visible by Contributor and editor
