Cleburne's (2d) Brig., Hardee's Corps,
Army of the Mississippi.

These regiments were engaged here at about 4.30 p.m. April 6, 1862. They afterwards advanced until checked by the fire of field artillery and gunboats.

Marker can be reached from Cavalry Road, ¼ mile west of Hamburg-Savannah Road, on the left when traveling west. 300 yards south of Cavalry road on trail starting near 15th Illinois monument, in Shiloh National Military Park.
