1. Morgan's First Raid Marker

Inscription. July 9, 1862, Morgan's Raiders, coming from Tenn. on first raid into Ky., attacked force of 9th Pa. Cav. at USA garrison. Raiders captured 30 of retreating enemy and destroyed tents and stores. They took 20 wagons, 50 mules, 40 horses, sugar and coffee supplies. At Glasgow they burned supplies, then went north, raiding 16 other towns before returning to Tenn.

Marker was at the intersection of East 4th Street (Kentucky Route 163) and School Drive, on the right when traveling north on East 4th Street. 1. Missing marker
I visited the location provided on April 30, 2022, but the Kentucky Historic Marker was not there. The trail marker was, but is in poor condition.
