45th, 43rd, 49th, 17th, 20th, and 48th Illinois,
McClernand's (1st) Division.

This battery, reduced to two guns, and six regiments of Illinois infantry, in order from left to right as above, were engaged here, under command of Col. Marsh, from about 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. April 7, 1862. The command then advanced to Woolf Field.
