More about this marker. This marker replaced a 1930 marker at this location with the same number but titled “Wildway.” It read “Three miles north is Wildway, home of Thomas S. Bocock, member of the United States Congress and only speaker of the Confederate House of Representatives. He was born May 18, 1815, and died August 25, 1891.”
