2. John Townsend Marker
John Townsend was the father of Robert and Sally Townsend, both of whom were involved with the Culper Spy Ring which provided intelligence to Gen. George Washington during the Revolutionary War, including information that exposed Benedict Arnold's plan to turn West Point over to the British.
