1. Balthasar-haus Marker

Inscription. Das heutige Gebäude wurde gegen Ende des 16. Jahrhundert erbaut. Wohnhaus von Schultheiss Jacob Balthasar (1658 – 1733).
Fassadenmalerei aus der Spätrenaissance, um 1656. Portal um 1730 von Stadtwerkmeister Hans Georg Urban.
Im Innern bemerkenswertes Treppenhaus und Festsaal mit
Stuckdecke aus der Zeit des späten Régence, um 1740.

Unter Denkmalschutz seit 1983

German-English translation:

The present building was built towards the end of the 16th century. Residence of Jacob Schultheiss Balthasar (1658-1733).
The exterior wall painting dates from the late Renaissance, about 1656. The portal,
the work of the city master craftsman Hans Georg Urban, dates from 1730.
The interior contains a remarkable staircase and stuccoed ballroom from
the late Regency Period, about 1740.
