Location. 43° 13.555′ N, 78° 23.504′ W. Marker is in Medina, New York, in Orleans County. Marker is at the intersection of North Gravel Road (New York State Route 63) and Ryan Street, on the left when traveling south on North Gravel Road. Marker is on the north side of the Erie Canal across from the foot of the Prospect Street lift bridge carrying NY 63. Marker is oriented such that the edge faces NY 63 northbound traffic over the busy narrow bridge. This makes the marker difficult to notice. Touch for map.
