Memorial can be reached from Telegraph Road (New York State Route 31) 0.2 miles west of Riches Corners Road (County Route 22). The monument is upon the highest mound in Mount Albion Cemetery. 5. Memorial Tower Entrance
There are nine tall white tablets built into the interior walls. Names of Civil War servicemen are engraved on the tablets. The names on the tablets facing the open entrance are especially worn; many names have become illegible. There is also a winding staircase to the top.

There are 83 steps. At the bottleneck of the tower, the handrail ends, at which point the climber has wall on the right and center-post on the left.
