Inscription. The public spirited woman who made the 15 star flag that flew over Fort McHenry September 14, 1814, inspiring Francis Scott Key to write the Star Spangled Banner.

Site restored 1976 by the U.S. Daughters of 1812 and the Star Spangled Banner Flag House Association.
