Camp Moore #6. Walking Tour Stop 6. This cabin was believed to be built in 1929 to serve as the meeting house for the Camp Moore Chapter No. 562, United Daughters of the Confederacy and served in that capacity for many years. It originally stood east of Marker No. 2 but was removed to this point many years ago. The cabin was designed after a cabin that served the same purpose for a UDC chapter in Mansfield, LA. The monument standing here was dedicated on September 9th, 1979 and stands in memory of the United Daughters of the Confederacy's efforts to preserve Camp Moore. On the reverse side is listed the chapter members of the Camp Moore UDC chapter that helped preserve Camp Moore in 1902.
