Regarding Myrna Elizabeth Mack Chang. Myrna Mack founded this organization in 1986 in order to understand the experience of displaced indigenous communities in Guatemala’s civil conflict. She was murdered by Guatemala state forces right outside of AVANCSO’s nearby, former offices.
