Location. 34° 54.397′ N, 85° 16.379′ W. Marker is near Fort Oglethorpe, Georgia, in Walker County. Marker is on Glenn-Viniard Road north of Wilder Road, on the left when traveling north. This marker is located in the national park that preserves the site of the Chickamauga Battlefield, along a park roadway (Google maps show road as Vittitoe-Chickamauga Road, NPS map show road as Glenn-Viniard Road), very near the Wilder Tower. According to the location information provided by the National Park Service, “Monument located within the Chickamauga Battlefield near the Wilder Brigade Monument, map site #236". Touch for map. More about this marker. According to the description information provided by the National Park Service, the marker is, “3' x 1'6" x 3'2" high, marker is a single block of granite, rock-faced at bottom and finished above, with a slanting top inscribed with "Kentucky" within a scroll and the unit's name."

In addition, the National Park Service reports that, "This marker has been moved twice. First in 1966, in advance of a highway project that never happened, the monument was moved 260 feet. Then in 2002, the monument was returned to its original location."
